The third annual Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) Institute for Computational Biology (ICB) North Coast Conference on Precision Medicine will be held September 28, 2017 in Cleveland, OH. This year’s theme is “Being Precise in Precision Medicine–Measuring Exposures in Diverse Populations.”

This all-day conference will feature invited speakers covering a range of topics related to this year’s theme including tools to collect and harmonize phenotypes and exposures (Dr. Erin Ramos, NIH/NHGRI), measuring little cigar use in Cleveland and beyond (Dr. Erika Traple, CWRU), measuring physical activity in the elderly (Dr. Jennifer Schrack, Johns Hopkins University), developing culturally sensitive materials for research and interventions that target lifestyle (Dr. Monica Webb Hooper, CWRU), and measuring air pollution, climate, and socioeconomic status for studies of human health (Dr. Stefanie Sarnat, Emory University). This year’s symposium will also feature a lunchtime workshop on extracting exposure and lifestyle information from electronic health records lead by Dr. Sarah Pendergrass (Geisinger Health System).

We are offering travel awards to trainees and early career investigators who are US citizens or permanent residents.
Travel awards will cover airfare (economy or main cabin), hotel (up to two nights’ stay), meals (at the per diem rate for two days of travel and one symposium day), and other miscellaneous travel expenses. To apply, please fill out the on-line travel award application below.
