Symposium Speaker: Wyatt Bensken, PhD

Dr. Wyatt P. Bensken received his Bachelor's of Science in Public Health from American University and his PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Bensken is currently a Research Investigator with OCHIN, Inc. OCHIN, Inc was first established in 2000 as the Oregon Community Health Information Network (OCHIN) to improve the organization of safety net health centers. Soon after, OCHIN developed a community-based electronic health record (EHR) system implemented in EPIC. OCHIN has since evolved as a nonprofit with the largest collection of community-based data available for research. OCHIN contributes to data enclaves such as the National Clinical Cohort Collaborative (N3C), Center for Linkage and Acquisition of Data (CLAD), and AIM-AHEAD. As a Research Investigator, Dr. Bensken is interested in use of clinical and other health-related data to identify disparities and inequities in health care and possible solutions for the benefit of all. Dr. Bensken co-directs the AIM-AHEAD Research Fellowship.
