Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) Cleveland Institute for Computational Biology (CICB)-affiliated post-doctoral fellow Dr. Esteban Vazquez-Hidalgo has been selected as Keystone Symposia Fellow for the class of 2026. Esteban, whose research is focused on allele-specific expression and regulatory mechanisms in complex traits such as Alzheimer’s disease, is mentored by CICB Associate Director and Population and Quantitative Health Sciences (PQHS) Professor Dr. William Bush. As a Keystone Symposia Fellow, Esteban will be embedded with distinguished scientists and industry leaders as part of the Keystone Symposia Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) shaping the 2028 conference agenda. Established in 2009, the Keystone Symposia Fellows program provides a unique, year-long networking and mentoring experience for promising post-doctoral fellows and early career investigators. Esteban is one of ten chosen for 2026 from a competitive applicant pool and is now part of a network of >100 Keystone Symposia Fellows alumni. Esteban doesn’t have to go far to connect with past Fellows: Dr. Dana Crawford, CWRU CICB Associate Director, was a Keystone Symposia Fellow class of 2010!
Congratulations, Esteban!
