Two Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) Biomedical & Health Informatics (BHI) PhD graduate students will be presenting at the upcoming American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) Amplify Informatics conference. Carly Rose, recent BHI graduate, was selected for a short talk based on her paper titled “Leadership, Informatics Expertise, and Resources: Determinants of Institutional Data Sharing in the National Clinical Cohort Collaborative”. The paper is available on medrXiv and will be published in the conference proceedings. BHI graduate student Shradda Dumawat will be presenting her poster titled “From Risk to Trajectories: How Alzheimer’s Genetic Variants Differentially Affect Memory, Language, and Executive Function.” AMIA Amplify Informatics will be held May 18-21, 2026 in Denver, Colorado. Carly Rose is mentored by Dana Crawford and Shradda Duamwat is mentored by Will Bush, both Professors in Population and Quantitative Health Sciences (PQHS) and the Cleveland Institute for Computational Biology. Dr. Crawford’s attendance at AMIA Amplify Informatics is made possible by a 2026 Flora Stone Mather Center for Women Research and Professional Development Grant.
