BHI PhD student chosen for Emerging Genomic Scientist Symposium

Diya Yang, CWRU Biomedical & Health Informatics PhD student, was selected for the 2026 Emerging Genomic Scientist Symposium hosted by the University of California at Los Angeles. Ms. Yang is mentored by CICB and PQHS faculty Professor William Bush. Diya was one of five graduate and post-doctoral trainees selected from a competitive application process to present her work “From Cortex to Cortex: Genetic links between kidney function and Alzheimer’s disease across ancestries” at the April 30th symposium. Congratulations to Diya and Will for being recognized by their work!
