BHI PhD student selected for 2025 AMIA LEAD Fund Trainee Award

Case Western Reserve University Biomedical & Health Informatics (BHI) graduate student Benjamin Mittman was selected for the 2025 AMIA LEAD Fund Trainee Award. The AMIA Leadership and Education Awards Donation (LEAD) Fund supports trainee scholarships for early career investigators and students whose abstracts have been selected for presentation at AMIA. Benjamin Mittman’s abstract, titled “Modeling Competing Clinical Tradeoffs with Concurrent Risk Assessment”, was selected for an oral presentation and was presented at the 2025 AMIA Annual Symposium held in Atlanta, Georgia. Benjamin has since completed his PhD in BHI under the mentorship of Michael Rothberg, MD, MPH, and he is currently completing his medical degree as part of the CWRU Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP).
