Biomedical Health Informatics PhD student Diya Yang chosen for 2024 ASHG Advocacy Certificate for Human Genetics and Genomics Trainees (ACGT) Program

Diya Yang, a third-year graduate student in the Biomedical Health Informatics PhD program, was selected from a competitive application process for the 2024 American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) Advocacy Certificate for Human Genetics and Genomics Trainees (ACGT) Program. Ms. Yang will actively participate in several workshops and activities related to science advocacy, including workshops on policy issues, the federal budget, and Hill Day with US congressional staff. On completion of the program, Ms. Yang will have earned a well-deserved advocacy certificate. Ms. Yang is mentored by Professor William Bush, PhD.
