On campus and hungry? So am I! I usually bring my lunch, but occasionally I find myself sans left-overs or just craving something else. So, where do we go when we are hungry at CWRU?

Surprisingly, there are few options very close by the Wolstein Research Building. The closest and quickest acceptable choice for me is Wolfgang Puck Express located in the University Hospital’s Seidman Cancer Center. This eatery is a contemporary chain that offers casual sit-in dining and take-out. Sometimes the place is so popular that it’s hard to find a table. The menu includes pizzas, salads, sandwiches, and entrees as well as grab n’ go options (like being at the airport!). Be prepared to stand in line with staff and patients alike during lunch rush hour.

I have eaten at Wolfgang Puck Express several times already. On the most recent occasion, Will Bush and I popped in for some salads (Figures 1 and 2). I have also tried some of their entrees like the chicken alfredo (you know, low calorie stuff!). Overall, I usually have a nice quick meal and the location makes it a perfect spot for pop-ins between meetings. I am sure I’ll be here again soon enough.
